Folded my rooftop tent back up with the sleeping bag still inside
Got to the campsite at Moab after dark and realized my tent was lumpy because I'd left my sleeping bag wedged in there. Had to wrestle it open in the rain with a headlamp on, felt like a complete rookie lol. Anyone else done something this dumb packing up in a hurry?

Man I feel that. Done something real similar myself. Rolled out of a spot in Colorado once with my camp stove still sitting on the tailgate. Heard it clatter down the road, pulled over, and found it busted open with propane cans everywhere. Felt like such a clown standing there in the headlights picking up the pieces. These things happen when you're rushing or tired, doesn't make you a rookie, just means you're human. The rain and headlamp part makes it extra rough though, did you manage to get everything dry again after that mess?

Always thought I was too careful for rookie mistakes like that. Not anymore.

Nailed a brick wall with my pressure washer wand last week because I was reaching around a bush instead of taking two steps to the left. Thought I was being clever and efficient. Ended up with a bent tip and a nice dent in the wall that my boss is still giving me crap about. The worst part is I literally told myself "don't be a hero, just walk around" not five seconds before I did the exact opposite. Pride always comes before the facepalm.
