Old timer in Moab stopped to check my tire pressure, said one thing I'll never forget

He pointed at my 33s and said 'air down to 18 or you're gonna bounce your fillings loose,' and after 3 miles on the slickrock I've never run a trail that smooth since.

...and honestly that old timer was spot on, I learned the same thing the hard way up in the Rockies a few years back. I was running 28 psi because I thought lower meant more flats, but after one washboard section I thought my teeth were gonna rattle out of my skull. Dropped to 20 and it was like driving on a different planet, the tires just hugged everything instead of hopping around. Now I check the terrain before I even leave the pavement, and if it's rocky or sandy I go straight to 18, no question. That's the kind of advice you don't forget, and it sure beats replacing a suspension from all that pounding.

Hell yeah, that Rockies story hits home. But here's my question, were you running a load range C or E? Cause I swear that makes a world of difference at 18 psi. My buddy's got these stiff E-rated tires and they still bounce around like basketballs even aired down, while my C's just flex and grab. Curious if you found the same or if it's all about the carcass.
