Paid $180 for a winch cable damper, wish I'd just used a heavy jacket
Watched a cable snap during a recovery near Moab and the kinetic energy talk got in my head. Spent $180 on a branded damper blanket, but honestly my old Carhartt coat draped over the line would've done the same job. Anyone else regret fancy recovery gear that a cheap alternative covers?
