Recovery boards saved my tail at Moab when the rock ledge got slick
Last month I took my Tacoma down Poison Spider Trail and got high centered on a wet sandstone ledge right after a quick rain. No traction at all and my buddy's winch was buried in his bumper with a dead remote. I threw down some cheap traction boards I bought at a flea market in Grand Junction for 40 bucks and it crawled right off like nothing. The whole thing took maybe 10 minutes versus the hour we spent trying rocks and branches first. Has anyone else had a sketchy recovery moment where cheap gear outperformed the fancy stuff?
