Serious question, a guy at the gas station in Flagstaff told me my old Warn hubs beat his new electronic ones
A fella in his 60s saw my truck at a gas station outside Flagstaff last weekend and asked if those were the old Warn hubs. When I nodded, he laughed and said his 2021 rig has a button for 4WD and he misses the days of getting out to lock the hubs by hand. He mentioned that in 30 years he has replaced two vacuum lines and a shift motor on his new truck, but the only part he ever changed on his 1994 was one hub dial. That stuck with me because I paid $180 for a pair of manual hubs back in 2019 and never touched them again. His point was that more parts means more ways to get stuck out past the treeline. Any of you still running manual hubs on purpose, or am I just holding on to old habits?
