Serious question, did I mess up by airing down to 18 psi on the Medano Pass sand last Saturday?
Went out with two buddies near Great Sand Dunes last Saturday and I dropped my tires to 18 psi for the sand stretch while they stayed at 32. I floated right over the soft stuff and never once felt the truck dig in, but they both got stuck twice and had to get yanked out. Now they're saying I got lucky, not smart, and that airing down that low is asking for a bead pop on a hard turn. I know 18 is low for a rig my size, so I keep going back and forth on whether I should have just gone to 25. What psi are you guys actually running on sand like that, and has anyone popped a bead at 18 or lower?

Sounds like your buddies got stuck and you didn't, so who really messed up here?
