That 35 inch spare tire mount was flexing way more than I thought

Checked my rear door hinges after a trip near Moab last month and found 3 cracked spot welds on the bracket. The tire weighed around 90 pounds and the door was fine on pavement, but off camber stuff put way more stress than the factory mount was designed for. I moved the spare to a rear bumper carrier and the door closes way smoother now. Has anyone else caught this before it got bad, or did you find out the hard way?
