That $80 air compressor I bought died on the second trail run
Picked up a portable compressor from a random brand on Amazon thinking it would save me time airing back up after mudding. First trip it worked fine but second time out it just stopped blowing air after 3 tires. Anyone else had one crap out that fast or did I just get a lemon?

Man, mine lasted exactly one tire before it sounded like a dying cat, lmao.

Exactly one tire" is brutal, man... I mean, it's almost impressive how fast it gave up. But honestly, I think the bigger issue is that a lot of people don't realize those cheap little compressors aren't really meant for car tires at all. Most of them are designed more for bike tires or sports balls, even if the box shows a car on it. The motors just can't handle the pressure and heat from filling up a whole tire, which is why they sound like a dying cat after one use. You're probably better off just using the one at a gas station or borrowing a decent one from someone.

Honestly, I used to think cheap compressors were fine for occasional use, but after seeing how many people end up with busted ones like that, I'm starting to rethink things. I had one of those portable ones from Amazon and it died after about six months, just started making this horrible grinding noise. Sounds like you really get what you pay for with these things, not even worth the hassle of the warranty.
