That neighbor who "knows everything" about trail rigs

Honestly, there's this guy two houses down who's never owned anything bigger than a Subaru. Last month I was winching a dead oak stump out of my yard with my truck, and he walks over and tells me I'm doing it wrong and should just use a come-along. I asked him how many times he's actually recovered a vehicle, and he said zero, but he watched a YouTube video about it. The kicker is he stayed for 20 minutes critiquing my strap angles while I pulled the whole stump out in one go. Anyone else got armchair off-roaders in their neighborhood who've never even locked a hub?
