The day my mud tires turned into slicks on a wet highway
Took my rig through the Poconos last month and hit a downpour on I-80. My old mud terrains had maybe 15k miles on them, and I thought they still had bite. Nope, they hydroplaned so bad I nearly kissed a guardrail. Swapped to a set of all-terrains with proper siping last weekend and drove the same stretch in rain, zero drama. It's wild how tread wear sneaks up on you, anyone else run a tread depth gauge before a big trip or just me?
