The rock ledge at Moab that taught me to trust my spotter

Last October on Hell's Revenge I got my rear passenger tire completely off the ground and froze, but my buddy's calm call to ease off the brake and give it 2,000 more RPM got me over without a scratch, so has anyone else found that the best recovery advice always comes from someone standing outside the truck?
