Vent: A guy at a trailhead in Moab corrected my line choice and I'm still thinking about it
Last fall I was airing down at the Klondike Bluffs lot and this older fella in a beat-up Tacoma watched me pick my line on a rocky section. He just said, 'You're aiming for the big rock, not the gap after it.' I thought he was nuts, but I tried his way and it was way smoother, no drama with the rear diff. It stuck with me because I'd been doing that same bad habit for 2 years and never saw it. Anybody else had a stranger call out something obvious that changed how you drive?

He wasn't right about the rear diff though, that was all you.

Wait, did you actually watch the same footage I did? @mary_martin22, he had the rear diff losing pressure two laps before you adjusted the line. You fixed your driving, sure, but the whine was still there on the straights. I pulled the data logger readout after the session, it showed the clutch pack slipping the whole time. You can't tune that out with throttle control. So no, that part was totally on the car.
