Why does nobody talk about cheap recovery boards snapping on your first real stuck
So I grabbed a pair of those $65 recovery boards off a deal site because the name brand ones were like $300. First real trip out to the trails near Bend, dropped both wheels in soft sand and went to stack the boards under the tires. The second I gunned it, one board folded in half like a wet taco and the other one snapped a chunk off at the nub. I stood there in the sand staring at $65 worth of plastic garbage while my buddy winched me out with his $180 set. Anyone else ever cheap out on recovery gear and pay for it later, or am I the only one who learned this the hard way?
