Hit 50% response rate on cold emails by changing one sentence

I've been sending cold emails to ad buyers for about 6 months now. Usually got maybe 10-15% opening and even fewer replies. Last week I swapped out my standard 'I wanted to introduce myself' opener to something more direct about their specific campaign I'd seen on LinkedIn. That single change bumped my reply rate to 50% on a batch of 20 emails. Anyone else mess around with your cold outreach structure and see big jumps like that?

20 emails? That's a statistical masterpiece right there, a real data goldmine. I guess we're all just a changed sentence away from being cold email rockstars now. Next week I'll try opening with "You owe me money" and see how that does. But seriously, 50% is wild - mine usually tank harder than my New Year's resolutions.
