Hit a 43% conversion rate on a local car dealership ad and I'm not sure why

We ran a simple Facebook lead ad for a Ford dealer in Boise, just asking for test drive sign-ups. Budget was only $500 for the week. Ended up with 172 leads from 400 clicks, which is way above our usual 15-20%. The creative was just a phone video of the new F-150 on the lot. Anyone have a guess what might have clicked so well with this one?

Way above our usual" sounds like a good problem to have, right? Why overthink a win?

Totally get where benclark is coming from, but a win that feels weird can mess with your head later. It's like you're waiting for the other shoe to drop because it didn't follow the normal pattern. You gotta figure out why it happened so you can maybe do it again on purpose, not just get lucky. Otherwise you're just hoping for another surprise instead of building something real.

That 43% is a crazy number for sure. But sometimes a post just hits at the right time for the right people. Maybe someone in Boise was already searching for a truck and your ad popped up first. You can drive yourself nuts trying to find a pattern in what might just be good luck. What's the plan if your next ad for the same dealer goes back to 20%?
