Just realized my client presentation deck got recycled by accident in Chicago

First, I asked my intern what happened and she was freaking out. I spent 20 minutes trying to recover the file from the cloud trash folder, but it was already purged because our plan auto deletes after 30 days. I had no choice but to present off the cuff. I drew out the audience funnel, talked through the budget split by channel, and referenced last year's campaign numbers from memory. The client said it felt more honest and less like a sales pitch. That was lucky, but I know that won't happen twice. What do you all do to keep backups before big meetings, or do you just trust your process?
