Saw a billboard in Austin that made me rethink local targeting

It was for a local brewery, but the ad copy was in Spanish only. The brewery is in a neighborhood where that's the main language. It felt way more real than the usual generic stuff. Anyone else seen hyper-local targeting that actually works?

Wait, they think general English ads are trying to include everyone? That's a wild take.

Ads are just trying to sell stuff, right? Getting worked up over who feels included seems like overthinking it. They'll make whatever ad they think works.

Interesting example, but it makes me a bit uneasy. That kind of targeting can accidentally box people in. What if someone who doesn't speak Spanish moves to that area? They'd just see an ad they can't understand. It feels like it's making assumptions based on where you live. General ads in English might seem bland, but at least they try to include everyone. Real connection shouldn't come from leaving people out.
