Showerthought: Figuring out a new ad platform's pixel setup took me a whole weekend
I was trying to get the conversion tracking working for a client's campaign on a platform that launched last month, and the documentation was missing a key step about server-side events. I ended up having to piece it together from three different forum threads and a support ticket that took 48 hours to get a real answer. Has anyone else hit a wall with a new tool's setup that should have been simple?

Was the missing step something obvious they just left out, or was it a totally new concept the docs didn't even cover? That gray area between bad instructions and a broken system is where I waste the most time.

Watched a friend spend two days trying to deploy a simple app because the guide never mentioned you had to manually enable a billing profile first. The docs made it sound like a five minute job, but that one hidden step broke everything. He only found the answer in a year old GitHub issue buried on page three of search results.

Did the docs at least warn him he'd need a credit card, or was that a surprise too?

Honestly I used to give new platforms the benefit of the doubt, but this kind of thing happens way too often. Now I just assume the docs are incomplete and go straight to community posts, which saves the headache. What's the worst setup you've dealt with lately?
