Why does nobody talk about capping ad spend on Tuesdays
A media buyer named Rick at a conference in Dallas said to me back in 2021 that most small accounts waste their budget by running full spend Monday through Friday like it's a salary. He said to test pulling back on Tuesdays and Thursdays and pushing that money to Friday afternoons when people are actually scrolling, and I finally tested it across 4 client accounts. Two of them saw 22% lower cost per lead in the first 3 weeks, but the other two didn't move at all, so I'm not sure if it's the day or just the audience. Has anyone else noticed a weird day of week pattern in their own accounts, or is this just noise?
Day of week might not be the real variable here since you changed two things at once, the Tuesday pullback and the Friday push. Maybe it's just me but the Friday afternoon part probably did the work, not the missing Tuesday.
