Bought a $35 hand grinder, took 20 minutes per cup for two weeks before I realized the burr was upside down

I sat there grinding beans slower than a sloth on vacation, cursing the manufacturer, then my buddy glanced at it and flipped the burr in 4 seconds, has anyone else ever trusted a diagram that clearly?

Oh man, that's brutal. But honestly, I wonder if the real issue is how many people never even check the burr before first use. Like, we all assume factory settings are correct, but half the time they're just thrown in there for shipping. I did the same thing with a secondhand grinder, took me a whole week of bitter coffee before I flipped it. Maybe it's just me, but I think a lot of the "bad grinder" reviews online are actually user error like this.
