Can we talk about how an Aeropress beat my $180 pour over setup?
I swore by the pour over for 8 months until my sister handed me her Aeropress at her place in Boise, and one cup made me realize I was just paying for the ritual. Anyone else ditch their fancy gear for something simple and cheap?

Same thing happened to me with a $30 French press! I spent months babying my gooseneck kettle and weighing beans to the gram. Then my roommate made me a cup with the plunger thing and it tasted just as good, if not better. I boxed up the whole pour over setup the next week and haven't missed it once. Turns out good coffee is mostly about good beans and fresh grinding, not the fancy gear.
