That cafe in Denver changed how I brew pour-over
I was at this little place called Huckleberry Roasters last month and watched the barista do a slow spiral pour with a pause in between. Tried it at home with my usual beans and the flavor was way cleaner. Has anyone else picked up a trick from watching a pro and had it totally work?

Wait, you went to Huckleberry Roasters? That's funny because I used to think the whole slow pour thing was just Instagram hype. Honestly, I'd just dump the water in and call it done. Tbh, I watched a guy there do that exact spiral pause thing and it made me feel like an idiot. I tried it with my usual beans and the flavor was way cleaner, like I was actually tasting the fruit notes instead of just bitter water. Ngl, it totally changed my mind about all that fussy technique stuff.

Wait, Laura, did you notice a big difference with lighter roasted beans or did it work with darker ones too? I tried the spiral pour method after seeing it at Huckleberry and it made my medium roast taste way brighter than I expected. Just wondering if you found the same thing or if it depends on the bean.
