Wasted $80 on a fancy pour-over kettle that I can't even use properly
I bought this gooseneck kettle online three weeks ago thinking it would make my morning coffee ritual way better. Turns out the spout is too narrow and the water barely comes out unless I tilt it almost sideways. I burned my hand twice trying to get a steady pour and ended up just going back to my old electric kettle. Has anyone else bought a tool that just didn't work for your setup?

Yeah, the "wasted $80" part really hit home for me. I used to think those fancy kettles were worth every penny, but I got a similar one last year and it just made a mess on my counter. The narrow spout thing is real - I actually had to dump whole beans back into the bag once because the water was so slow I lost patience and poured too fast. Definitely changed my mind about buying gear just because it looks good online.

Yeah, nothing says "relaxing morning" like turning your hand into a third-degree burn victim for lukewarm coffee.

oh man i feel this so hard. i got one of those fancy hario kettles thinking i'd be all artsy with my pour over and ended up just splashing hot water everywhere and burning my wrist. went right back to my old regular kettle that pours like a fire hose.
