Am I the only one who got burned by that $60 laser thermometer for checking tire temps?
Bought one at Oshkosh two summers ago thinking I'd catch hot brakes before they got bad, but the readings jumped around so much it was useless on a real preflight. Ended up going back to touching the hub with the back of my hand, which has worked fine for 20 years. Anyone found one that actually reads steady, or am I just holding my mouth wrong?
