Blew $180 on a fancy torque wrench calibration service, then found the real problem
Kept chasing a suspected click in my wrench for two months and shipped it off to a shop in Dallas for a $180 calibration, only to find out the click was the socket rocking on a worn drive square. A $14 replacement square and five minutes fixed what $180 and three weeks of downtime could not. Has anyone found a cheap way to check drive wear at home before sending the wrench out?
