Spotted a new composite repair kit at the Oshkosh airshow last month

I was checking out the vendor tents and saw a company demoing a fast-cure composite patch system. The tech claimed it could set in under 30 minutes, which is way quicker than the stuff we use in the hangar. It got me thinking, is this speed worth the trade-off in long-term bond strength? Has anyone here actually field-tested these rapid kits on a real airframe repair?

Honestly I was skeptical too, but the demo at Oshkosh totally changed my mind.

We ran a test panel through a thermal cycle rig last year.

Totally get what you're saying. I saw a similar demo at a trade show last year and they were patching a test panel right there. The real question is how that bond holds up after a few hundred heat cycles, right?
