Vent: Snapped a brand new drill bit on a #10 screw during a rush job on an MD-80 panel today
Spent 45 minutes extracting the broken piece from the track and now I'm wondering if cheap cobalt bits are worth it for stainless work, anyone got a go-to brand that holds up better?

Why buy cheap bits when you could just replace the whole panel and bill the customer for it?

Replace the whole panel" is an interesting approach until you're the one who has to explain to a customer why their 1998 Load Center needs a full swap because of a bad breaker. Sure, you can bill for it, but that's a quick way to get a reputation for selling people stuff they don't need. I've seen guys roll their truck, charge for a new panel, and the old one was fine with a $15 breaker swap. The customer remembers that when they talk to their neighbors. Cheap bits and a solid diagnosis keep the phone ringing.
