Appreciation post: the random guy at a con who explained pacing to me
Tbh I was venting about a slow burn anime at a panel last year and this stranger politely told me the pacing was the point, not the flaw. He walked me through one whole episode beat by beat and now I catch foreshadowing I used to miss. Has anyone else had a total stranger fix a blind spot in how you watch?

A buddy of mine had the same thing happen with a book, some lady on a train broke down how the author was playing with time on purpose. He rereads it every year now and keeps finding new stuff.
