Hot take: I used to skip the first episode of any new anime
For years I'd jump straight to episode two, thinking pilots were just boring setup, but my friend in Chicago made me watch the first episode of 'Odd Taxi' with her last week. The whole mystery is built from that first scene, and I would have been totally lost without it. Does anyone else have a show where the first episode is actually the most important one?
