Okay that office analogy is actually too real. So when you say dubs are the polished corporate version, does that mean people who hate dub are just tired of getting their own raw ideas edited to death in feedback loops at work?

That bit about voice actor direction and zoom calls is spot on. It makes me wonder if preferring subs is like wanting raw footage in meetings, no edits. Maybe dubs are the polished corporate version we have to sit through.
