Stumbled onto skipping the filler episodes trick for Naruto after 4 years
I started watching Naruto back in 2020 during lockdown and got stuck around episode 150 because it just dragged. My buddy kept saying skip the filler but I thought I'd miss something important. Finally last month I looked up a filler list online and skipped about 80 episodes total. The main story flowed way better and I finished Shippuden in like 6 weeks instead of a year. Problem is now I'm caught up and waiting for new episodes like everyone else. Has anyone else used a filler guide and felt like it made the show way better or did you think it ruined the pacing?
I lived through the Great Filler Wasteland of 2020 myself (which is like a desert, but with more flashbacks). Skipping them made me realize how much random beach episodes and alternate reality ninja parties I could have avoided. My life is now divided into "before filler list" and "after filler list" and it's way better.
And @sarah774 is so right about that before and after filler list thing because once you start skipping them you realize how much time you were just wasting on nonsense. I used to feel like I was missing something important if I skipped episodes, but now I just check a guide and save myself from hours of flashbacks and random beach volleyball tournaments. It's honestly freeing to know you can enjoy the actual story without all the padding.
