Update: I tried ranking anime by 'most realistic plumbing' for a joke
Spent a Friday night making a spreadsheet for 15 shows, and somehow my friends got into a 2 hour argument over whether Fullmetal Alchemist's automail counts. Learned that any ranking, even a dumb one, will start a war. Anyone else have a silly anime ranking system that blew up?

That line about any ranking starting a war is the truest thing I've read all week. My rule is you have to define your terms before you post the list. Is it functional plumbing, or just visual accuracy? Automail is prosthetic, so it's out. You settle that first, or you'll get forty comments just about definitions.
