Vent: My friend's anime opinions did a full 180 after one weird weekend
So my buddy Dave, who I've known since high school, used to be the biggest hater of any anime that wasn't a pure action show. For years, his whole take was 'if there's no giant robot or sword fight, it's boring.' Then, about three months ago, he got super sick with the flu and was stuck in bed. He binged the whole first season of 'Kaguya-sama: Love is War' because it was trending. I saw him the next week and it was like talking to a different person. He wouldn't stop going on about the narrator's jokes and the mind games. Now he's trying to get me to watch romantic comedies and slice-of-life stuff, saying the character writing is 'next level.' It's so weird to hear him quote Chika's dance scene. Has anyone else had a friend's anime taste completely flip overnight like that?

Nah, that's not weird at all lol. Getting super sick and binging something new can totally change your mind. It's like your brain is too tired to fight it.
