Am I the only one who checks the outlet before touching a dryer that quit mid cycle?
Got a call last Tuesday from a landlord in Mesa whose tenant's dryer stopped dead mid load, and the first thing I did was pull the plug and check the receptacle with a meter, because 3 years back a dryer in Tempe had a scorched 30A cord from a loose neutral that would've lit me up if I'd grabbed the terminal block first, so now I want to know if you all meter the outlet before you even pull the machine out or do you go straight to the thermal fuse.
