Dishwasher leak had me stumped for hours
Pulled a Frigidaire out at a job in Portland last Tuesday and found water under the float switch. Ended up being a tiny crack in the housing - anyone else run into that model doing this?

Oh, I hate to be that person, but that model isn't actually a Frigidaire. I've seen that float switch setup before and it's a rebadged Samsung from 2016. Frigidaire uses a different style of float assembly with a metal clip that model doesn't have. The housing crack you found is a known issue on those Samsung units, especially when they sit in humid basements. Just something to keep in mind so you order the right part next time.

Wait, does that mean I've been telling everyone my washer is a Frigidaire when it's actually a Samsung pretending to be one? That's honestly hilarious because I bought it off Facebook Marketplace and the guy swore up and down it was "the good brand." I guess I should've paid more attention to that float switch instead of just being excited it had a warranty sticker still on it. Thanks for pointing that out, @the_linda - you probably saved me a headache next time I need to order parts. Now I gotta go check my basement humidity levels too, great.
