Had a weird fridge call in Dayton where the ice maker kept making half cubes

Last week, I got a call for a fridge that was only making half sized ice cubes. The customer said it started after they moved it to clean behind it. I checked the water line and filter, but they were fine. Turns out the water inlet valve was getting just enough pressure to start the fill cycle, but not enough to finish it before the timer cut it off. Has anyone else seen this happen after moving a unit?

My buddy in Cincinnati had the same thing on a Whirlpool last month. The plastic water line got a tiny kink behind the fridge when they shoved it back. It looked fine from the front, but it was pinched just enough to slow the flow.

Yeah, @davis.adam is probably right. I'd pull the fridge out and check the whole line for a pinch or a sharp bend.

That sounds exactly like what happened to my sister's fridge. She spent a week thinking it was broken before finding the kink.
