Just realized I shouldve gone with the thermal fuse instead of the timer on that dryer

Had this Whirlpool dryer in Toledo last Tuesday that was acting up no heat. I was stuck between swapping the timer or just throwing in a new thermal fuse for $12. Picked the fuse first and it fixed the whole thing in 10 minutes saved the customer a hundred bucks. Anyone else find themselves overthinking the easy fix?

Wait isn't the thermal fuse usually the first thing to check for no heat?

@miles279 yeah unless the breaker tripped first which nobody seems to talk about.
