My shop's call volume dropped 40% in six months after we started posting repair videos on YouTube.

Wow, that's actually brilliant. People are watching your videos and fixing things themselves, so they don't need to call you. It means your content is really good and helpful. You basically taught your customers how to not need you. It's a weird spot to be in, but it also builds a ton of trust in your brand. Maybe you can find a way to make money from the views or sell parts directly.

Totally get what you're saying, @stella_lane, it's such a weird mix of feelings. You're stoked your stuff actually helps people, but then you realize you might be cutting into your own work. That trust you build is huge though, like people will remember you when they hit a job that's way too hard for them. Maybe it leads to bigger projects or people just recommending you to everyone they know. It's like you're the expert friend now, not just some random business.
