Question about switching from OEM to generic control boards

I always used OEM boards for washers until a $150 Samsung dryer board died on me last month and I tried a $45 generic one instead. It has been running fine for 3 weeks now, has anyone else had good luck with the cheaper route or am I just asking for a callback?

$80 for a used board off Facebook? That’s wild, I’d be scared it’s gonna catch fire mid-cycle.

Man I feel you, those Samsung boards are seriously overpriced for what they are.

Ngl @charliestone, I heard they're charging like $400 for a basic mid-range board now. Honestly saw one at Best Buy that was plastic with a cheap chipset and they wanted $350 for it. Tbh my buddy grabbed a used one off Facebook for $80 and it works fine.
