That aftermarket water valve I swore by finally let me down last week
I used to only buy the cheap water valves for washing machines, saved about $30 each time. Last week on a Samsung in a basement, the plastic inlet snapped after 3 months, flooding the floor. I had to eat the cost of the new valve and the extra labor for going back. Has anyone else had better luck with OEM valves for newer machines?

Swapped mine out for a brass ball valve and haven't looked back since.

Buddy of mine did the same thing. Said the plastic ones cracked within a year on his last two machines.

OEM valves are overpriced plastic crap too. Bought a genuine Samsung valve once, same exact failure 4 months later. The real fix is a brass ball valve inline before the machine. $15 at Home Depot. Still on year 3 with no leaks. Those plastic parts all come from the same factory anyway. Just my two cents but OEM is a scam for this stuff.
