I just finished my 100th hazard tree removal and the number felt wrong

Everyone talks about big removal counts like a badge of honor, but hitting 100 just made me think about all the trees that could have been saved. A huge silver maple in Akron last spring had some decay, but the homeowner wanted it gone for a 'clean look' and we had to take it. I know it's part of the job, but that milestone felt heavy, not like an achievement. Does anyone else get that feeling, or am I just too soft?

Honestly that's just how property rights work though. People pay for a service and get to decide what happens on their own land, even if we don't always like the call. The job is to assess risk and follow the client's choice, not make the choice for them. Getting hung up on every tree will just burn you out for no real reason.

My buddy lost a client over a single oak, @kevinrivera.

Ever think about planting a new tree for every one you have to take down?
