Started doing lunges every morning and my spur climbs feel smoother

Stronger legs mean less wobble when you're working up high.

Try strengthening your core instead for balance.

But what if your balance issues come from somewhere else entirely? @the_elliot I get the core strength angle, it's solid advice for sure, but from my own messing around at the gym, I've found my ankles and hips were way more of a weak link for staying steady. I spent months just doing planks and stuff, but honestly, doing simple single-leg stands and weird balance board things made a bigger difference for me. It just seems like balance is one of those things where the fix isn't always the same for everyone.

That "fix isn't always the same" idea is why Elliot's core advice is still the best starting point. A weak core throws everything off, making it hard to even tell if your ankles or hips are the real problem. You should build a solid base there before you start messing with balance boards.
