That one Tuesday where a red oak split on me and dropped a limb right through a customer's shed roof

I was doing a removal in Akron last fall and a co-dominant lead just gave way without warning. Took out half the shed and cost me $800 out of pocket to fix it. Has anyone else had a tree do something totally unexpected that threw your whole day off?

Man that stings, sorry you had to deal with that... trees can be totally unpredictable sometimes.

You know, its funny you say that because I used to think trees were pretty simple. Like, they just stand there and do their thing, right? But after a branch came down on my car last summer during a storm that was supposed to be mild, I totally changed my mind. You just never know when one is gonna decide to let go of a limb or rot from the inside out. That whole situation really opened my eyes to how big of a risk they can be, especially near houses or cars. Now I look at them totally different, like theyre just waiting to surprise you.
