I blew off the guy at a garage sale in Boise who said his arrowhead was real, 8 months later a museum agreed with him
Picked up a chipped stone point for $2 at a garage sale in Boise back in 2019 mostly as a joke, guy swore his grandpa found it near the Snake River. I laughed it off for almost a year until my kid's teacher looked at it and got weirdly quiet. Turns out a state archaeologist confirmed it was a real 9,000 year old projectile point, not some souvenir knockoff. Now it sits in a case at the local historical society and I still feel dumb about the eye roll I gave that old man. Has anyone else had a cheap find turn out to be way older than they figured?
