Labeling every bone fragment with silly stickers confused the whole dig

I thought it would help me sort them faster, but now we have a dinosaur sticker on a human femur. How do you keep your finds organized without losing your mind?

You sure that's a human femur? Maybe the sticker is onto something. I can just picture the lab report coming back saying you found a new species of tiny, grumpy caveman. Honestly though, if your system is that mixed up, maybe just let the intern keep the stickers and go back to those little paper tags. Sounds like you're one sparkly unicorn sticker away from ruining someone's whole career.

Actually, I think the sticker idea has potential if you do it right. A clear color code system beats handwritten tags that smudge. Don't scrap a whole method over one mixed up bone.
