Read an article about the new Roman villa found under a parking lot in St Albans

I was looking at the BBC news site last night and saw a piece about a full Roman villa complex they found while redoing a parking lot in St Albans. The article said they found a mosaic floor that was 'unusually well preserved' for being under asphalt for decades. It made me think about how much stuff is probably still right under our feet in old cities, just waiting for a construction project to dig it up. Has anyone else seen a local find like that, where something huge was hidden in a totally normal spot?

Actually, St Albans is a pretty rare find for a full villa.
