Showerthought: I just blew $300 on a 'guaranteed' Roman coin that turned out to be a modern cast.

Got way too excited by the listing photos and didn't ask for a proper provenance report. It's a total fake, and the seller vanished after I paid. Anyone know a legit online dealer for small finds?

Honestly I feel your pain, I once bought a "medieval" ring that turned out to be a cheap souvenir from a gift shop. Tbh the excitement of finding something online just makes my brain shut off sometimes. For legit stuff, I've had good luck with some dealers on VCoins, they usually have their stuff checked out. Ngl though, my wallet still cries over that fake ring.

Ugh that's the worst! VCoins is solid, I always check their seller reviews first. Saved me from a few bad buys for sure.
