10 years ago I picked a gas stove over induction and I'm still second guessing it
When we redid the kitchen in 2014, I went with gas because that's what my mom always had, but now with all the health stuff coming out about gas stoves I'm wondering if I made the wrong call. Has anyone here switched from gas to induction and actually liked it?

Ten years is a long time to have a healthy staring contest with a decision, trust me. I almost caused a small kitchen fire trying to boil water on my friend's induction cooktop because I put the pot an inch off the center. So I'm just as bad at using modern tech as I was at picking a stove in the first place.

Put the pot an inch off the center"? That's a user error, not a tech problem. Induction is actually way safer than gas or electric since it only heats the pan, so blaming the stove for that fire is a stretch.

Oh man, I've been there. That exact thing happened to me with my sister's induction stove - I put the pot half on the burner ring and it wouldn't heat up at all. I just stood there confused for like five minutes. What finally helped me was putting a little piece of masking tape right on the spot where the pot needs to sit. That way you can see exactly where to place it every time without guessing.
