My sister told me to put salt in my coffee, said it cuts the bitterness
I tried it this morning with a pinch of sea salt in my dark roast, and honestly it worked. The bitter edge was gone but I could still taste the coffee. Has anyone else tried this or is my sister just weird?

Is it just me or is that actually how half the "hacks" in life work? Like someone figures out that a tiny adjustment makes something way better and then everyone acts like it's a secret. I've been putting a pinch of salt in my pasta water for years and people look at me like I'm crazy but it does the same thing - brings out the flavor without making it salty. Same with a little salt on watermelon or chocolate chip cookies, it just makes the good stuff pop more.
