My slow cooker got demoted to cabinet space after I tried a Dutch oven last month
I used to throw everything in the slow cooker, like 6 years of chili and pot roast and even lasagna one time that came out terrible. Then my sister let me borrow her Dutch oven for a Sunday pot roast because mine broke on a Tuesday and she said "just try it once." The meat came out way better, the veggies actually kept some texture, and the house smelled amazing instead of like wet dog for 8 hours. I bought a decent one for $65 at HomeGoods and now the slow cooker sits in the back of my pantry. Only issue is I still use the slow cooker for keeping things warm when we have people over, so it's not totally dead. Does anyone else have a kitchen tool that got replaced and now you can't go back?
